It all began at the age of three if my mother is to be believed. That's when I went to a play whose name neither of us remember and met Tommy the Turtle. According to Mom, I was entranced from that moment.
From then on, I've always had the awareness that acting was a job that people could do - from Mel Blanc and Don Messick and Dawes Butler (some of the familiar voices of his childhood cartoons) to Bob Denver and Tim Conway, I began noticing and paying attention to what actors did and, as I saw them show up on different programs again and again, it began to dawn on me that this was a job that I wanted to do, too.
Many years of study and one bachelor's degree with accompanying student loans later, I've had the privilege of working with artists such as the late Gary Austin, founder of the Groundlings, Carol Fox Prescott, and others and have appeared on stage, on air and on film as an actor, as a writer, and as a fight arranger.
A native of Missoula, Montana, I've called Seattle home for 30 years. I can be seen in "Feels Like Flying", an entrant into the Seattle 48 Hour Film Festival, the award-winning short film "Pandemic Purgatory" (winner of the best overall film and best original writing awards in the 2021 Sidereel Film Festiva), the action short "Hard Out" and the short subjects "Nobody Cares", "Tess Tetley - Girl Brand Manager!" (Seattle's entry in the 2020 Global 48 Hour Film Challenge), "AFK (Away from Keyboard)", and the anthology film "Hobo With a Trashcan." I also performed several characters for two seasons of SPACE 101.1 FM's improvised weekly radio drama series, "Broken, Alaska", which can still be heard online at brokenalaska.libsyn.com or every Sunday night at 8:00 pm PST.
